21 Pro: Blackjack App Reviews

Entertaining....

... But as mentioned, prepare to lose. The odds are definitely stacked against you more than it may be in a casino. Regardless, this is the first app I ever bought and throughout the years, has kept me busy and, more importantly, entertained. Im up to $3M currently by not using strategy and playing $10K hands... Its fun to ball with fake money (cuz we cant all ball with real money)

Suggestion

Perhaps in an update, there could be an option not to offer insurance when the dealer shows an ace. I never take Insurance and most serious players dont. Thanks.

Great Start!

I write this with much hesitancy because I share SOME of the same sentiments that has already been expressed by past reviewers! I will suggest this... Take these suggestions and use them. Suggestions like: Having virtual players or even online games against other users. Not having the dealer ice us so much, additional side bets, message board for communication between users, etc.... Great job on this app, now refine it and make it better! I will always have it on my phone!!!!!

A great app: better still if it were iPad-friendly

A solid blackjack app with an excellent mix of realism and fun. Great graphics, though they are a little busy to my eye: itd be nice if some of the complexity were relegated to menus so that the main screen could focus exclusively on the table interface. Id encourage the developers to turn this into a combination iPhone/iPad app: it already plays fine on the iPad, but a little extra polish and it could become the premier iPad blackjack app. To those knuckle-dragging reviewers who claim that the app "cheats," I can only say look at the reviews of all the casino apps in the App Store: *ALL* of them are filled with one-star reviews from people certain that the game cheats because they had a string of bad luck. What possible incentive would the developer have for making the game cheat in the computers favor?! Think about it: theres absolutely none. Its nonsensical.

President

This app is totally predictable - why cant they just do an app that is random (just like Blackjack in a Casino)? 9 times out of ten (when you bet everything you have) you will get a garbage hand. That is not real life. I have had as much as 3 million in my account by manipulating the predictable trends in the programming. This app actually teaches you how NOT to play Blackjack. Dont waste your time or money - it will just anger you.

Sore losers

Its a cool app...ignore the b*tching and moaning of the people that are upset about losing so much. Give me a break!

This Game Makes You Lose Too Much

I thought I would be the only person on here that would say that this game makes you lose all the time, but I was wrong. And for the person that thinks its nonsensical for a company to put out a game that makes people lose more than they win, its also oddly coincidental that a considerable majority of the reviews reflect people losing. I have a craps game where you can adjust the dice from anywhere from "cold", "cool", "normal" (Vegas odds), "warm" to "hot". Once in a while, since its just virtual money, it would he fun to have the cards be hot in the players favor so that you could experience the feeling of winning. The dealer gets 4 times as many blackjacks than I do and when the dealer shows a 3, 4, 5, or 6, it pulls through about 90% of the time and often times either pushing with you or making 21? As another reviewer said, that is not reality. And yes, if I could play with other people in the room via WiFi minimally or even BlueTooth, that would make it more fun too. Just give us (the one that is paying the company for the product, shouldnt we get what we want?), the ability to make the cards hot to cold, how many decks were up against including single deck options and finally, multi-player access, and my rating will go up gradually for each feature. Until then, it gets one star for being lousy and predictable. Now I get to start my day feeling like a loser because of this game.

Good game

Idk why people are complaining I win quite a bit Im ahead from what you start with. Im just going to assume most people leaving saying you cant win dont play smart.

Needs improvement

I havent found this game harder to win than casino BJ - much easier actually. Playing by basic BJ rules, as another reviewer said, seems to be best way to win over time. Like others, wish there was option to play more hands. Also: needs feature to allow you to bank your winnings over time instead of having to restart after youve lost everything or cashed out. Finally, to developers: theres a bug where you can lose your current winnings after you close the game. Be nice if that could be fixed. Never know when I close the game whether Ill have my winnings when I get back to it. (iPhone 4)

Bj

I dont know why if Im betting high prices cpu have always bj one time it happens 5 times at the row is this posible?

Not realistic odds...

This game is not only frustrating, the odds mechanism is totally unrealistic. Start keeping track of how many times the dealer "blue collars" his way to 21; compare the number of dealer vs player BJs; watch how many times the dealers hand "miraculously" defies odds. Also, why cant I play two hands? Not a fan of this app...

Good game but...

It is very easy to lose your winnings!! I had over 500K twice, went and adjust settings to change color of table and wam money was gone. I also lost money by clicking start a new game, I just wanted to start a new shuffle or table and wam money was gone, they need to make sure your money always stays with you unless you cash out or specifically click reset money. When it starts it asks if you want to continue game and if you say no, wam money is gone. Why should money go to zero because you want a new game, its like leaving casino and coming back next day, money you won should ALWAYS stay with you no matter what!!! Unless you lost it. This problem is serious!!!

Unrealistic

I have been playing and studying the game of blackjack for over 30 years, I am an expert card counter and player. I will tell you that from my experience, this ap is great for the house in a for real on line gaming setting. BUT for someone who enjoys the game and understands that sometimes the odds are defied I also understand when the odds are unrealistic. 2 out if 10 times I can see 9 out of 10 consistently for the house against proven mathematical odds is impossible. I have played this game for over 2 years to come up with these statistics. The look of the game is great. The realism of this game is poor. If you play this ap and learn to win based on unrealistic patterns thats great have fun with the ap BUT please be aware that this ap teaches you what NOT to do at the casino with real money. If you play the way this ap forces you to play and win, you will loose your shirt at the casino if you applied it. If you are a fan of the game of Blackjack, I do recommend the card counter ap. Good luck and happy gaming :-)

good blackjack app

the only issue i have is that the card animation is too fast for counting cards, there should be a half speed option.

Not a chance

The graphics, sound & play are nice ..... the realism, not at all. Its amazing how often the dealer will hit 21 with 5 cards when u end up with 19 or 20 yourself. Dont count on getting many blackjacks at all. Doubling down VERY rarely works. This game is very far from real.

F...in Joke

House odds on here are better that at the real casino. Save your 99 cents and use it at the casino. This app is a joke!

Writers Remorse

Just so you know Im not ALWAYS Hatin... this game does have the best looking graphics of any 21 App. Its very quick & easy to play. Do wish it had an auto-start everytime the game ends & ur out of $$ . Over a long period of time, you will not win

For fun only, too many glitches

This game is good for passing the time, but not for training. There are too many errors. For example, my cards totaled 20, the card tally says I busted and I lost the hand. Another time my cards totaled 12, the card tally says 17, and the recommendation says to stand. On yet another, I have 15 showing and the card tally says I have 20. In summary, you cant trust the game to simulate real life. I do have screen shots for all of the above examples.

It is what it is

People saying its not realistic havent spent much time with this game or at a real table. Learn your basic strategy and that even with perfect play and no counting youll lose no matter what over time. You wont find a better BJ app out there. Only gripe is you can only play one hand.

Beautiful to look at, terrible to play!

Out of all the Black Jack games I have tried this one is easily the best looking. It also has a considerable amount of gameplay customizations available including # of decks in the shoe, how much blackjack pays, dealer hit/stand on soft 17, double down rules, etc. Even the tablecloth and card back graphics can be changed. Unfortunately it is completely handicapped by terrible odds, odds that are impossible for even an experienced Black Jack player to overcome. How bad??? Here are a few stats to back up what others have complained about (based on over 1,000 hands) Won 40.8% (Ouch! And I have played a ton of REAL black jack in casinos and know what I am doing) Lost 53.2% Pushes 6.0% Dealer Black Jacks 6.5% Player Black Jacks 0.5% (So the dealer is 13x more likely to get a Black Jack!!!) Unfortunately it does not give a breakdown of the success rate of double downs and splits, but I can say with confidence it is MUCH lower than real life. The dealers ability to make a hand out of a 5 or 6 is uncanny and unlike anything I have experienced. Winning two hands in a row is difficult, three or more hands in a row is nearly impossible. So... if you are looking for a beautiful Black Jack game that will frustrate you to the point of breaking your iOS device, get this one! Otherwise save your money and continue your search.
